Architecture

The creative process of Globo spanned 8 years.

Innovation is key to advancement, and with this understanding SAURO’s lead engineers developed a mechanism allowing for the spinning movement of Globo’s colorful and brilliant range of spheres on a custom space-grade titanium axis.

The creative process involved numerous rounds of mathematics, physics, and sketches to optimize a commercial grade version suitable for comfort and wearability with very specific attention given to the quality control of each individual bracelet.

Movement

Sauro engineers placed emphasis on motion while designing the Globo collection. When examining how to evolve the Minisphera it was essential to add the element of movement in a simple yet innovative form.

The natural effect was to ensure that all spheres freely spin on a titanium axis, similar to the earth’s rotation. Sauro custom engineered the parts required to make this a reality and tested various applications of the movement in order to achieve the maximum result.
